I purchased two new door seals a week ago and just finished installing one today. This would be the door seal that starts at inner/bottom of the A pillar and works its way down around and back up to the door latch.
When i was installing it today, i felt a rubber hollow tube within my passenger seal. two of them to be exact. One in the upper and on in the lower seal. i can only assume that this tube is for the front corner of the door as to not collapse. but on further inspection i also noticed a chalk line behind the seal and that is where the tube is.
Should this tube stay where the factory chalk line is or should i move it up toward the curved area?
any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
