One way you can see how old people are is to throw out a song lyric from 1966 and see who recognizes it. Many of the members of these forums weren't even born when that album came out.

No, I wasn't even referring to the Kinks (one of my all-time faves I might addd!)- they borrowed that line from the old Scarlet Pimpernel hero - I recall seeing this show as a boy - although it was obviously running much later than the year it was in production!!
Come to think of it, the Kinks actually used to dress in those type costumes with the ruffled cravats - seem to remember Eric Clapton dressing similarly in the Cream days - obviously they were the dedicated followers of fashion a la 18th century variety - don't they say there's no new fashion? - It just comes around again?
