But you could potentially drive any track in the world and you would not have to pay for new tires :)

haha, that's awesome. Check out the F1 video. With the amount that thing is pivoting when he turns and brakes u'll feel more like u're whipping your mom's minivan around a track rather than a F1 car. Could be fun if someone made a driving simulation of a car with hydros =)

Huh? The pivots are in opposite directions to simulate g-force. The way I see it, the more travel/pivot, the better.

Carguy!, we will need a report when you get this!

I'm just saying, with the amount that thing is pivoting when, say, braking, your car would have to have about 2 feet of nose dive  Not so realistic for a F1 car. Good for rally games tho. Looked like it was going to jump across the floor.

You are not getting the point of how this truly works, it is moving to simulate g forces not car movement.

When sitting in the seat your only frame of reference is the picture in front of you, your mind sees that as what is happening. The seat moving fools your mind into feeling the G forces that would be expected from what you are seeing. For example when you are braking really hard the seat dips but your view doesn't change, all you feel is the tug of the seat belt.

You really need to try one of these to truly appreciate how well they can work if set up properly. I have used several aircraft simulators and they feel almost identical to the actual planes.

Me too. The way they fool your mind is incredible. I would love to try this one!

unfortunately it can only simulate up to 1G... to produce more it would have to be attached to one of those rotating arms from "spies like us"

ahh gotcha, I watched the video again, makes sense. I figured even with a screen in front of you it wouldn't be able to fool you, but I guess with a big enough screen that takes up enough of your view it would work. In that case, I'll take one. =)

I talked to the company earlier and they offered anyone interested free "rides" in one if they come to their shop. They are in upstate New York, I may have to take a little road trip in the CGT through Canada and try it out this spring.

Perhaps your peripheral vision of the room might cause some problems. However, I would bet anyone who gets this toy would have a dedicated room for it, and maybe paint the walls and ceiling black.

Being a game guy and in Canada, you must stop but and pick me up along the way. Be careful when crossing the boarder, Meeyatch may be hiding in your trunk, and the Canadians frown on human smuggling.

Have you ever seen or played the video game 355 challenge?
I have one in my basement, it has three TV's and feed back steering.
But not quite as cool as the one your looking at.

Hey now Brian, since I introduced him to the seat, and I'm in Canada too, I figure I got first dibs :-)

Man.. you get a 360 spyder.. and you have F355 challenge machine in your basement too?? Between you and Carguy, you guys are hogging all the fun around here! ;-)

$24K is a too steep in my book. Instead, I will just go with the new Logitech(darn I forgot the name). Akira mentioned it in another thread, and said it was pretty darn good.
