Hey am I the only person to notice that it is impossible to buy this nsx. Ive looked around recently and notice that is car is not even being sold used. I think it would be a great idea to buy a nsx Type-S Zero and import it to the us. Sure it may cost alot but it will be cool driving the only type s-zero in the US.

Thanks for replying to this question. Please tell me if you think it is a good idea or not. Please don't think that i'm going to do this cause i don't even have that amount of money and can't even drive. Just want the answer and opinion.

get the BBS rims, dump AC, power steering, stereo, noise reducing materials, Air bag.. S suspension will make ur car S zero

Why would i do that i could probably pay less by importing one to the us.

No i'm not thinking of doing this just wondering.

I've sometimes thought about importing an S-zero and using it as a platform for a track-only NSX...

no clue on how much it would cost, etc...

might end up being just as cheap to buy a used 360 challenge car.

I can't imagine that it would be THAT expensive. There a number of DOT-approved importers that are used to bringing in 959's XJ220's, Euro Ferraris, etc, etc.

My undxerstanding is that at least from an emissions and crash-test standpoint, the US and Euro NSX'es are the same.

If you could get an S-Zero from a Left-Hand Drive country such as Italy, France, or Switzerland where they are avaliable, I can't imagine that would be so hard to bring a real S-Zero into the U.S. In fact, im surprised it has not been done already (at least Im not aware of any being in the U.S.)

If you got the money to burn, heck, why not get the current type R, why settle for an S-Zero?

theres no different in out look,
but theres reduced #s of options loaded
no significant in powertrain.
= no signifcant reason to import them

unlike other euro spec cars.. they got loads more options, or some differenc in out look, power , how rare it is etc. so theres a potential market for it.
