taken yesterday at the frankfurt auto show in germany by one of my best friends on travel there. my yellow one should be arriving in time for spring "nsx hunting season" :biggrin: after i make some virgin sacrifices apparently (ehemmmm you know who i'm talking about).

I know it performs great and all but in the end its still just a dime a dozen corvette. The styling doesnt do anything for me. I actually prefer the c5 body style over the c6.

Were the side-intakes (both front & rear quarter panel ones) penciled in at the last second by the designers/engineers

IMHO they look attrocious, no confluence nor consistency w/ the style-theme.

Also those side-skirts/rocker-panels?!? Zero-Cool could've done a better job! :tongue:

(mixing angles & facets in a particular plane w/ curves & ellipses just makes no sense!?!)

I think they did a great job with the exterrior styling of this car. And the rediculous amounts of power on tap with the low price tag doesn't hurt either. Congratulations NSXMOFO on your purchase.

A word to the wise for the rest of you guys: this is the future of super car status. Honda was proud of its Ferrari killing NSX at a great price point back in '91. Why then do you slander what Chevy has done here with their Z06? NSX's won't get hunted, they wil get slaughtered.

Yes, this car is quicker than anything short of an Enzo. And? I'd take a slower Gallardo, slower F360, slower F430...there are a TON of slower cars I'd take over the Z06. The NSX is one of them.

If I wanted this kind of unrefined power, I'd have gotten a Viper instead of the NSX in the 1st place. 911TTs are out there too for comparable money. Firebirds w/ SCs and sh!t. Why not just get one of those?

I give Chevy props for making a car with the numbers this car does for the price, but that said, it's not an apples to apples comparison with the NSX. Sure it's faster around the track, but on the road, I feel certain I would rather been in my NSX (if I am wrong, I guess I will post here as an Ex-NSX owner and you can flame me, but don't hold your breath). If the numbers are all that count vs.the $$$, what about an ariel atom or maybe the Noble? Heck, maybe a Elise with a Supercharger and still have 20K in the bank?

I like the Z06, but I love the NSX. Great thing about this time, lots of great choices out there.

had to say that cuz a) we're on nsxprime and i know all of you guys will be hatin' and b) i still have my nsx.

the stock motor IS detuned already. it's able to make 600hp but chevy detuned to pass DOT and certain other legalities.

exactly. i wanted the nsx for a very personal reason and a 12yr old dream, not to mention stuffing it in the face of the dealer that didn't let me touch the damn car when it came out in 1991. same sales rep got my 2cents about respect when i went in to pick up the nsx in 2003.

as for honda, well they've failed us all - not keeping up with the times and the market. expensive technology for technology sake does not a supercar make. i don't care what car it is. the new z06 sets the standard in my book in terms of price/performance. it makes other makers think twice about, "how do i get the most power in the hands of people who'll enjoy it for what it truely is."

True, its a chevy. But one of the cool factors of the Z06 is that its very well priced. I can't afford one, but it sure seems feasible compared to a gallardo, or even a viper. Hell, I'd take a gallardo, F360, Ford GT over this too...but price wise, I can't even dream of purchasing them.

Nothing personal and not raining on his parade. But to call it the "King of the Road" will certainly create disagreement. To me the car is far from being the "king" and is as good as ground beef. You do get a lot of beef for the price you pay and that's all. It is not rocket science to get high horsepower. My friend's Cuda 440 6 pack has brutal power but it is still ground beef.

Hey come on guys...we have to admit that the Corvette has improve thru the years...and the new C6 ZO6 is one hell of a fast car for it's price...honestly, the styling is growing on me...heck if I had the money ...i'll be me one right now..but until honda come's out with the new and improve NSX ..all I can do for now is drool of Z06 performance numbers..and for a mere $60k....dont get me wrong...I like the C6 ZO6 but I LOVE my NSX! :biggrin:
