This car HAULS ASS.

Bugatti claims its new two-seater will hit 62 mph from a standstill in 2.5 seconds, 125 mph in 7.3 seconds, and amazingly, given it tips the scales at a rather portly 4300 pounds, 186 mph in just 16.8 seconds. The words “battering ram” come to mind.

For comparison, a Porsche Carrera GT needs 34 seconds to reach that last mark, and we don’t recall anyone describing it as slow.

It is HEAVY as a pig though. I wonder how it will be on a track.

Plus, it only costs $1.2 million!

I can't wait for the first one to show up on wreckedexotics.com!

For $1.2MM you'd think that they could do a slightly better job on the interior!
The dash looks like some horribly customized Scion.

Are they going to produce it? I know the article says they are but, others have said the same. The last I heard anything about the car gets negative gas mileage! It would be really cool though if it does become a production car.

Seems as though they've already pre-sold 16 cars to US buyers.

Incredible performance. Too bad it looks like a wide mouth bass, weighs like a pig and is basically a disgrace to the name. Other than that, Its not bad

wow - those are incredible stats. as for the looks, i'm probably in the minority here, but i think it's got very stimulating and "interesting" looks that some folks will like and some folks won't... i think it's cool.

Hm seen one in person in Berlin, about a year ago at a Bugatti dealer. I have to disagree with all those "looks like crap" comments. In my opinion its one of the best looking cars ever. The interior looks great and feels great, just like a 1 million € car should feel. Classy.

Who cares about the weight with 1001+ hp.

I saw one in person in carmel and I have to say it is not a pretty car. I dont care how much faster it is than a carrera gt ill still take the porsche.

Where did they come up with 1001 hp? Seems like a really odd figure.

I want one

Actually it reminds me of the movie, White Men Can't Jump, when she says, "Billy you so stupid. You should have said I love you infinity plus one!"

They had one @ Rusnak Pasadena for 1.4 million. Talked to their representative and you get a pair of tickets to see the plant for you mill and some change. In addition, if you want to go over 200mph they send a team out to remove the restrictions on the turbos, lighter wheels, aerodynamic settlings, plus you get a set of specially made tires to hit top speed. Don't know where you can do that but amazing needless to say. The car reminds me of the enzo when it first came out... Didn't like until I saw it in person...

Hot, definitely very hot...

But for a bit cheaper than that I would still rather have the timeless and incredibly engineered McLaren F1. Sure it's slower, but IMO, it's the best car ever made, end of story.

Yeah, you're right... I got my price mixed up with an F50 that I saw for sale, which was ~$700,000

How much is a McLaren F1 selling for now? Weren't they about 1 million new? Are they really more than 1.2 million now? Just wondering. I don't follow the market for these cars.

I think they are actually still selling for well over a million.

Finding one is the first problem, I have been looking for one for over a year and haven't seen any USA street cars come available. The last two that I saw for sale were all 1.5 million and over.

There are so few confirmed sales that it is tough to track this market, but I am a buyer at 1.2 today!

And originally I think they were around $900,000.

So if you could find one for sale in the states today for 1.2 you would buy it?
