Will these houses sell for their astronomical asking prices? Two things are certain: One, at some point in the future, a house will go on the market for more than the current $75 million record; and two, billionaires didn't get rich by throwing their money around. If the homes of most billionaires are anything to judge by, even the ultra-wealthy might find the thought of spending $75 million for a house too rich for their blood.

Assuming I could afford a house that big, I would probably end up having a garage bigger than my home and fill it with cars....having a 11,000 sq' ft. house was never really something I desired. But....a 5,000 sq. ft. garage....now that is another story. ;)

that's pretty insulting to the people who don't eat everyday because they live in the streets.

nuts lol

Majority of the individuals w/o shelter/ housing/ accommodations/ etc' are of psychological disturbances, substance abuse, illegal residence status, or other non-economic factors.

Now w/ that said of-course, over-indulgence is plain disgusting if not just offensive.

$55M for that?! Of course, it does come with 3000 acres and possibly 1400 cattle.

They should have titled that report "the most expensive land in the US".

I wonder what the Indian, 200 years ago, sitting on his seven acres overlooking the ocean would think of the $65M sale price. BEADS, I GOT THESE CRUMMY BEADS!
