Hey Guys,

When I first got on Prime there was a guy that had that crack right in the center of the plastic trim piece at the top of the dash right where it meets the bottom of the windshield. He had a fix for that that covered that crack and it looked almost like a factory piece. It fixed that crack in a most acceptable manner. I've tried to search it but I'm not getting anything but windshield trim exterior or cracked windshield stuff. I guess I may be challenged with that search.

If any of you guys remember what it is that I'm talking about or have any idea how to fix that crack that basically breaks that plastic trim in half - please chime in. I don't want to replace the whole piece if I can do that fix I mentioned someone came up with. It really was a great fix.

HELP!!!! Thanks a bunch guys!

Can it be done without removing the piece/dash? If so I'm interested too! Mine's been cracked since I bought the car.

The piece in question was a simple cosmetic cover up. In order to replace the piece you must remove the entire dash to expose all the mounting screws.

Try searching for "dash crack" to find the thread in question.

Here s a link, it just "pops" in, no need to remove the dash....wonder if it is still made?

Guys this is great but the fix the guy I'm talking about is even more simple. It's a little cap piece that fits over the crack and is about 1" wide. Looks just like the cover piece and it was neat. I'll try and find it because it hardly cost anything. But I did contact this guy to see if it is still made. I'll let you know what I hear from him. Say Cozmo did you contact him?

Thanks guys, I'm going back into the search for "dash crack".
