This was my second time meeting fellow Primers at South Coast Acura since buying my NSX in September. As with my first time, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting "old" and new faces.

One random observation I've made is the age diversity with NSX owners. We've got guys (sorry, I've only met one lady NSX owner so far and she didn't even have her car with her) ranging from their early 20's to early 70's. I think that's cool.

In time, I hope to be able to put a name to each face. I will admit, I tend to remember cars more readily. Now, is that a sign of a true sports car enthusiast or what.

Let's plan road trips, C&C gatherings at Irvine, and track events- yes! I'll be happy to cheerlead, coordinate, and of course attend these and other car club activities. See you all soon!

Just a photo I found in the Internet to inspire some.

Looks like the fourth one down (red nsx) is a convertible? Or am i seeing things? ANyone got pics of yesterday's meet at SCA?

Now this is an impressive photo. The NSX's speak for themselves. I have never seen a convertible NSX before.

What is really cool are the two aircraft in the background. For those who know, the one on the left is none other than a P-40 Flying Tiger and the plane on the right is the mighty P-51 type D Mustang. The Flying tiger rallied (often unsuccessfully) against the versatile Japanese Zero early on in WWII. Now for the Mustang, this aircraft (along with its' talented pilots) is credited for singlehandedly saving many Allied bomber crews lives' as they flew from airbases in England to Germany and back again. The Mustangs were the only fighters of the time who could escort the bombers to Germany due to extra fuel capacity and drop tanks, battle with the marauding German fighters (Meshershmitt 109E and Folk Wolfs) and escort the bombers back to England again. Prior to the Mustang, American bomber crews sometimes suffered 15% loss rates per mission. Expectant life capacity sometimes was only 5 or 6 missions. Yea, this is indeed a great photo. My guess is that this may be Osh Kosh Wisconsin.

For anyone interested, it would be great to rally and meet up at Chino Airport to view the aircraft museum and eat at Flo's. Kudos Steve for finding this photo buddy, good job.

I see you know your WWII fighter aircraft, drjb. Your idea about a road trip that meets at the Chino Airport museum sounds good to me. Frankly, I am interested in any road trip and NSX activities in general.

At this last South Coast Acura meeting, I became acquainted with Ferdie Ang. He organizes road trip and track event activities (Button Willow, Willow Springs, Fontana, Laguna Seca, etc.). Besides being part of a dealership network, they offer prices about half what I've been quoted from Speed Ventures. I am interested in track events planned early next year. I will be contacting Ferdie shortly to help coordinate events for NSX Prime members.

Start a thread on your Chino road trip idea. I will be the first to RSVP.
