Hi all.. I am the proud new papa of a 96 NSX-T ... everything is perfect expect the temp gauge on the dash.. I was told by Acura (pre-sales inspection) that this is a faulty Temp Sending Unit (TSU) and that it costs around $35 for the part and $70 for the labor.. He stated that it was very easy to do but wouldn't share how to do it..

Has anyone an idea of where this is located and how to replace it?

Thanks!!

PS Pics would be cool..

On the home page is a link to the 1991 service manual. It may be slightly different then yours, but at least you can get an idea about the temp sensor location.

Go here: http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/Reference/1991_svcman/1991servman.pdf

Page 11-48 shoes how to test the temp sensor
Page 23-136 shows how to test the gauge

Thanks for the info on the manual..

I looked through it but I can't figure out where the part is.. I guess it's in the front because the radiator is there.. Not sure what I am looking for..

I will check into it when I get home..

Thanks again.

If you look at the first section I beleive it will show it is by the throttle body. In the picture you will see the accordian boot for the intake, so it is located adjacent the EGR just ahead of the throttle body about 1".

There is an additional temp sensor for the radiator fans, separate from the temp gauge sensor.
