Has anyone had any experiences or feedback on using the softer optional springs for the Teins?
Much of my driving in done on two lane levee roads here in the Delta. While the roads aren't super rough, with the rates that came with the system (560lbs/672lbs),
trying to pass even at moderate speeds is more fun than humans should be allowed to have. Think of a rock skipped across a parking lot and decreased reponse to steering inputs.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions..

Charles

The best thing you can do if driving comfort is a concern, is to reuse the factory rubber upper mount bushings instead of the non-compliance aluminum bushing. This will cushion the ride. Several people on this list have the setup (including MYNSX) and they can comment on it.

Thanks Chris!

Any ideas on how to get the stock rubber mounts to work on the back? They don't seem to fit and the folks at TEIN say that they don't offer a special mount that fits.`

In your experience, would you read the feeling of skipping along an uneven road
surface as a too firm spring and or shock situation?

Thanks,

Charles

I've been driving the Tein on the street. Although I must concur that it is too stiff on the street, the shock and spring combo work better than any other suspension I tried.

On rippled road, I don't really feel the tire skipping, but if the shocks is set to relatively soft rebound, I get a pogo effect, which can be upsetting, yet more comfortable for regular street use.
