Tein Coilover Question

My 01 is mostly stock, though I have replaced the anti-sway bar with a comptech unit. That improved the car's ability to turn without a lot of body lean. Everything else is stock. I am thinking of replacing my struts with Tein Flex coilovers. I want to lower the car under an inch. I know that I could purchase Bilstein shocks and use my oem springs and get the same approximate ride height. However with the Teins I can adjust and tighten up the ride. My question is: Will the Tein Flex set at a low number (soft) be close to the comfort level of the oem units? What has been your experience. If I can get close to the oem ride and still have the ability to adjust for a spirited ride that would be great.

Thanks for the input

I HEAR that those bilsteins on stock springs give a SWEEEEET plush ride! I don't think the teins on any setting could be that plush......

I dunno for a fact though, I'm hoping to install my tein coilovers this up coming week.

Are you planning on using the electronic control unit that allows adjustment for bump and compression from inside the car? It adds about $350 to the cost but seems like a good way to go. Is there clearance enough for the motors? Doesn't someone in Orange County have the tein flex coilovers?

Im running that exact combo with the bilsteins and stock springs and it rides awsome. Lowers the car about 1 to 1 1/2 inches. I love it.

Manny,

I have the tein flex with edfc. I have played with different ride heights including damper settings since I first purchased them. Since you are only lowering the car by an inch, the ride comfort should be equal to stock.
