Tech your car for NSXPO in San Diego

Has anyone taken their car for the required tech inspection in San Diego for NSXPO track event?

Where have you gone to get this done?

How much was it?

I perfer to stay away from dealers, they tend to make a simple thing difficult.

My tech inspection is being done for free. You can't beat that. (I'm having other work done as well...)

Is this a place you would recommend for the standard service schedule? I was working with Dwayne (who moonlights with Dali Racing), but unfortunately he is currently facing some personal/ financial issues and isn't working on NSXs right now.

Definitely. I would have no issues going with Dwayne, but since I don't plan on keeping the car forever, service records are important to me. Dwayne doesn't write those up. It's unfortunate, since Dwayne is SO MUCH CLOSER than Applied Motorsports for me...

Nick is a great guy. He was trained by Mark Basch. He knows his stuff. He has done the full maintenance on my car...

I already made an appointment with Applied Motorsports. I'm getting my 90K service with a few additional repairs. Nick seems like a friendly knowledgeable guy on the phone.

Conrad-- looks like you ran into the same problem that I did: Dwayne did the work just fine, but hasn't been able to supply me with a receipt for what he worked on.

Wow, Roger!!! You're getting all sorts of stuff done to that car. When you're done, it'll be in better shape than a new car.

BTW, I've been happy with the work that Nick has done on my car. He and Mark B. were always happy to help out with questions whenever possible. While pricing seems fair, what really stands out is his effort to square away all the little details regarding setting up his business. I really get the feeling that he's in this for the long haul, and that's fine with me.

BTW, my tech inspection is tomorrow morning. NSXPO is that much closer!!!!

haha I hope you're right. And I hope this is the last straw! If I spend any more money, I'm gonna have to work a second job flippin' burgers or something. And with a car like the NSX, I'd need to flip a lot o' burgers!

I had my tech inspection done by Ramon at Niguel Motors when the Bilstein's were installed. No Charge!!!!

Just because I forget all the time, and I drop things all the time, and fall, and hit myself, and soil my pants, and slur my speech, doesn't mean I'm old!!! But I'll still take the Senior discount anyway! It sure is nice having more NSX mechanics in San Diego that's for sure!
