Sat. and Sun., I attended a The Driver's Edge (TDE) event at Texas World Speedway (TWS). There were, I believe, 4 NSX'es and a plethora of other makes/models.

On Saturday, I used about ½ tank of gas and caused no appreciable wear to my tires. However, on Sun. I used almost a full tank of gas and now I need to replace my tires. I don't know if these things mean much; but, to me they mean that I increased my speed dramatically and possibly even increased my skill as a driver.

The session where Chris (my instructor) drove my car showed me some of the NSX'es capabilities. Now, if I can even perform to 10% of the car's abilities, I will consider myself a pretty good driver.

For those of you who have never attended a DE event, I would highly recommend it. It is a good way to get in touch with your car and with your strong and weak points as a driver.

BTW, thanks Chris, Vaughn and Andy for the attempt to debug my engine check problem. It was very much appreciated. I would also like to offer my thanks to Susan and the crew at Goodson Acura in Dallas for taking the time to see if they could retrieve the code.

Mark,

I am glad to hear you had an enjoyable trip and that the track experiece lived up to your expectations. It always amazes me to see the quick progression of a driver's skill when behind the wheel of an NSX in it's natural environment. As much as I'd like to take all the credit as an instuctor, I must concede to the natural ability of the NSX to be easily driven near the limit.
Now that you have the basics, the rest is all in your desire to apprach that limit... ENJOY TAKING IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL!

I too enjoyed the weekend, expecially getting to drive the Blown Yellow Monster...Very Nice!
I look forward to the next event....Hope you will come again soon.

Chris
