I recently noticed on another nsx that there is a green light on the TCS switch that lights up when TCS is active. I had no idea there was suppose to be a light on there as mine has never lit up since i purchased my nsx. If I turn TCS off, there is a yellow indicator on my dash however still no light on the switch itself whether active or inactive. My TCS works fine as i have tested it at deals gap a couple of months ago. My question is, can the light/led inside the switch be replaced or does the whole switch assembly need to be replaced?

The light can be easily be replaced. There are little plastic socket things that hold the lamp. You can replace it with something from radio shack or a specific LED. (search the super bright let forum thread)

Later models of the nsx (I think search website, not forums) supress the green light under normal circumstances and only emit amber when disabled.

I have a similar situation. I currently have my entire cluster out and want to replace the bulb inside the TCS switch. I have the switch module in my hand (the rectangular piece that the wire harness plugs into) but I can't figure out how to pop the thing open to access the little bulb? What am I missing?

Also, when I originally bought the car (used), when I pushed the button in, the TCS off light would come up in the dash, but now that's not lighting up either so I don't know if it's on or off. I doubt that they're burned out. Any ideas?

It should be held together with tabs and corresponding holes. Use a thin blade screwdriver to pry the housings apart...there should not be any glue.

It is very easy to bend a pin on the plug connector.

The TCS button seems to have intermittent electrical contact if not used on a regular basis.

Are these switches prone to go bad over time? Not the LED itself but the contacts in the switch?
I decided to put a new switch in since I only want to take apart my dash once.
