Hello All,
I know this may seem similar to a thread earlier, but it's not. The question I have is my TCS button doesn't seem to be working. It doesn't light up with the rest of the dash lights at night, and when I push it there is no light on the dash or LED on the button. I know the traction control works, because I have invoked wheel spin. Small side note, IMO the TCS on the NSX is engineered really well, it is still "relatively" smooth (which is hard to do). My GTi VR6, which is also “drive-by-wire”, feels like the engine fell out of the car when the TCS kicks in. The throttle just drops completely, as if you hit the rev limiter, then it suddenly tries to come back at full throttle, if there is still no traction it drops again! The car ends up bucking all over the place, if your watching from outside the car, you end up looking like you can't drive. It's better to just turn it off. Anyway sorry about that, back to the NSX. I have a feeling either the plug has come off the switch (which is why it is not lighting and functioning) or the switch is just bad. When I tried to get at the switch I realized it would be more of a project then I thought. I figured I could just reach my hand under the dash (yeah right), I didn't realize the bolstering goes completely under the dash. Before I tear that down does anyone have any thoughts?
Sincerely,
John
