My last 2 NSX's were coupes and I removed the engine cover and it was great. However, now that I have a Targa I'm faced with a challenge. THe top is stored in the engine cover in a clam shell fashion. So now if I remove the cover I cannot take my top around with me. I'll have to leave it at home. Unless it can fit in the trunk which I'm sure it cannot.

I guess I'll just have to make choice of which is more important no?

hmmmm... I never thought to try. The key would also be that it fits snug enough not to be moving all over the place. I'll give a try tomorrow.

I'm also 99.9% sure you can place it in the trunk also. I believe someone mentioned carrying around a beach towel and wrapping the targa lid as to not damage it just in case. :)
Good Luck

The targa top will fit in the trunk. Put the targa top on the left side (driver side) of the trunk, and have the front edge of the top facing forward, and tilted up. I use a 1/2 full volleyball as as a wedge/shim on the right side between the right edge of the targa top and the cd player. It is a nice snug fit, with no movement under swift cornering.

Good luck.

How can you be sure it cannot? You obviously have not tried, because it will fit, even with the CD changer also in the trunk.

It will fit in the trunk. Just slide it in at an angle. Two people in SD have done this already and loved it.

pbassjo,

That cover is exactly what I have been thinking about doing!! I didn't know someone alreay tried it, and it came out really great. You live real close to me, sometime I have to take a look at that in person (if you don't mind).

BTW, have you been to any of our Northeast events this year? I just bought my car this past June, and I don't have everyone's NSXPrime name down yet, but I don't think I have seen you.
