hi, have a 95 nsx. bought a steering wheel from a 92 nsx.
need to take the wheel off and send it off for 3wks for custom carbon fiber inserts...

any pearls on taking the oem wheel off ?

i probably should send the wheel from salvage yard and change out /exchange when it 'd done but.... oem is a bit cleaner in the plastic area so...

Yes it is. Well for me it was. I replaced my steering wheel with an aftermarket one and discovered most of the star bolts wouldn't budge with the star wrench. The star wrench ended up rounding out the top of these bolts and I had to drill out all but one of them  I thought this usually happens when you don't have the correct size, but I did :( Other than that, everything else is easy and straight forward. If you don't have one of these star wrenches, you will need one in a size 30. Oh, as per the service manual, might want to make sure you disconnect the battery so the SRS won't inadvertently activate. There is a step by step procedure in there to tell you what to do with this. Here is a link to this type of wrench . I can't figure out why they would use these types of bolts on a steering wheel

it's not a secret that if a car is easy to work on for you & me

it'll be an fairly no brainers and big time saver for Theift!!!

I would think the star wrench thing is to make the threif having hard time to take the Airbag off....

just a thought!!

star bolts

thanks for the info...
should i just preorder some of these bolts from the dealer?

how many are there?

is the rest of the wiring, etc. farily straight forward?

i'm gonna put on a wheel from a salvage yard for a few weeks...
