I just don't want to make any regrets..

can someone give directions in detail on how to remove the battery?

it seems the spare tire bar is in the way.. should I unscrew that out or do i have to install the battery from the bottom of the car?

Look in your service manual - the one document you should have if you're going to work on your car.

my car did not come with a service manual

and the link is bad on the nsxsc.com service manual..

Remove the bracket. Saves weight!

I was assuming that he would remove the spare also. Silly me.

Well, you could do that... if you are sure that you're never ever going to get a flat tire. Some of us carry a spare tire with us because we might need it.

Seriously, my car sits to low for any normal jack to fit under it anyway.

So if you do this, I take it that everytime you get a flat, you get the car towed to the nearest tire shop? What happens if they don't have the specific tire for the NSX (which is probably likely)?

I have only had one low tire in 2 years of ownership. At a car show I ran over a nail and was able to drive to a WalMart and get a can of fix-a-flat. Upon getting back home I took the tire off the car and had it repaired at a local tire shop.
BTW, my tires aren't NSX 'specific' either. They happen to be Goodyear Eagle F1 directionals. Actually they are OEM for Corvettes! So does that mean I shouldn't have them on my car?

Using a repaired tire on an NSX is explicitly not recommended, as noted in your owner's manual. And most folks would recommend not re-using a tire once it has had Fix-A-Flat sprayed on it. As discussed here.

No, it just means that they weren't designed specifically for the NSX, so they don't have the bias designed to work with the NSX alignment, or the different compounds front vs rear, etc. Someone who is sensitive to handling differences and prefers the razor sharpness of the OEM tires shouldn't have them on his car. If you don't feel that way, they may be perfectly adequate for your needs.

But now I gotta ask - Have you even tried the OEM tires on your NSX?

I bought the car totally stock with the OEM tires and wheels. I eventually bought different OEM wheels(polished) and kept the tires. I then moved up in wheel size which required new tires. I got a killer price on the current tires so I couldn't turn it down.
