Do any of us here have this set up going? I recently bought a set of test pipes, and I'd like to use them with the GTLW or JGTC, but before I empty my wallet, I'd like to hear this set up in person. Thanks in advance.

Hey William,

Good seeing you again the other day. I believe Eric (evoGTC..?)with the black NSX has the JGTC exhaust.

You know which one I'd recommend, and since you already took off the cats, you're half way there :)

William,

There are NSX owners with GTLW or JGTC and straight pipe set up in Southern Cal. You should just ask them to let you hear it in person.

Since you already took off the catalytic conveters and you always wanted the F355/F1 sound, might just as well get the Gruppe M or GT rom F1 and call it a day, they are probably the closest to F355/F1 than any other exhausts. They are also less common due to premium price. You do get what you pay for. You can recover some of the cost by selling the current exhaust.

For ultimate bragging rights and perhaps ultimate sound, there is always that Sorcery F1.

I put on my JGTC parallel exhaust with test pipes. I drove to end of my block, turned around, came home, and put the cats in immediately. The sound was excruciating!!!

GTLW all the way....keep your cats, not worth the hassle of getting busted.

I agree. The GTLW's exhaust note is awesome. If your cats are off you'll get that god awful exhaust smell. But you already know that by now.

After I took off my test pipes, my car is alot quieter. Hope you enjoy the test pipes William.

Thanks again Andy, I am enjoying the test pipes. The sound at high rpm, wide open throttle is just exhilirating. The only I'm not fond of is the rattling, buzzing sound at deceleration. I have also noticed a slight increase in pulling power at higher rpm's, and fortunately I haven't noticed any loss in low end torque. I'm thinking of either replacing my exhaust, or atleast installing an exhaust controller valve to quiet down the car when the cops are around.

I believe the Taitec exhausts offer a silencer. Check SOS's website. You may have to drill into the exhaust for install though. I debated about it previously, unfortunately (fortunate for my wallet on testing things :) ), I sold my JGTC before I can try the silencer.
