Taillight center portion gasket/seal

I just got done replacing my taillight gaskets on my 1991 NSX to address the issue of moisture within the trunk. During the removal of the taillights, I removed the center piece to make removal of the left and right components easier. The subsequent re-installation of the taillight components was pretty straightforward; however, when I began to finalize the re-assembly I noticed that the center piece had four tiny compression washer/gaskets on the screws(not sure what to call them cause they look compressed like the compression gaskets). Like the other original gaskets, these were obliterated. I hadn't read about anyone replacing these little critters so I figured it was such a commonplace occurrence that no one commented on it.

I looked up the part number 75523-SD4-003 and I went to both a local Honda & Acura dealership to acquire four new washer/gaskets. Neither had any in stock. In fact, they both said it would take weeks to get them in. Since the car is in storage for the winter, the delay is no real biggie.

For reference, I did get four generic rubber washers, however, they were too thick and resulted in the center piece sticking out a bit so cosmetically it appeared pretty cheap.

My questions are:
1) Do you all simply aquire these little washer/gaskets at the time of purchase of the larger set?

2) Or do you use something else entirely?
