Folks-

I attempted to change the middle "ACURA" light piece with the 2002+ piece I recently purchased which has the "A" symbol on it. I was able to screw off the carpeting in the back, but the little nuts (4), 8 mm each, were impossible to take off because of lack of room to get torque on them. How do you guys do it? Am I doing something wrong? Do I need a long socket wrench extension bit? Ther bolt that it screws on to is too long for me to use a socket wrench with a standard bit. Help!

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you'll need a deep socket to get to the 4 nuts. It helps to use a 2"-3" extension too, to provide room for your ratchet wrench.

You want to get some nut drivers. These are long hollow tools used for exactly this purpose. I think the nuts holding the lights on are 8mm. Go to Sears and buy a complete set for under $20.
