It is not uncommon at all... I know many owners with a stiffer front bar, and stock rear bar.As long as your shocks/springs are relatively well balanced (same rate ratios as stock), and your tires are suitable, there is no doubt that you will improve rear grip by softening the rear bar. That is not subjective.
