I just noticed that the dust boot of an end link is loose on one end, enough that you can see a small amount grease seeping out around edge. Does anyone know what holds the dust boot in place on the opening of the boot that's closet to the sway bar? On this inner side where the grease is leaking there's a small gap between the boot and the metal surface that it butts up against.
On many cars the boot has a metal ring clamping it down. (See non-NSX example picture below). But on both of my front end links there is nothing visible securing the boot. And on my end link that's not leaking grease the rubber boot and metal piece butt up against each other perfectly, yet I cannot tell what's holding it there. Makes me think it's held in by pressure.
