My brother, working on a kit car, sent me this question, and I figured that someone here might have some insight:
Do you know anything about suspension geometry? I'm trying to find out how the length of the wheelbase affects the oversteer and understeer of a car, and more specific some sort of math to figure out how to balance it out.
In particular, I need to stretch the Fiero's wheelbase out by 16". The stock suspension is capable to handling up to a 12" stretch without any major concerns to understeer/oversteer. I need to know if the extra 4" is going to require some serious mods on the rear suspension to keep it more or less the same as stock.
Does anybody have any comments?
