just got KWv3 installed. If i want to try out a lower setting (i'm already 1" lower than stock), do i need a new alignment, and is it a DIY type of thing i can do in my garage with relative ease? I have full air tools so removing wheels is easy.

Is lowering it DIY? yes.

Alignment - well, you can do a DIY with some DIY alignment tools (camber & toe tools) but if you are going to leave it after you get it set then just go to an alignment shop.

Will lowering it change the camber & toe, yes. How much can you get away with without doing another alignment? My best guesstimate would be around a 1/4" +/- drop or raise before your alignment settings change materialistically.
