I agree with dippy9 100% on this...
My car has had over $160K invested in modifications so far by the previous owner (not including purchase price!) and I'm not finished yet... I will be spending some more money on it myself to enhance some areas where I still think an improvement can be made. Mainly in the areas of aerodynamics and intercooling.
The TT set-up is the sweetest I have ever driven. No turbo lag and really more power than I could ever want. I can't really describe how awesome the car is with so much power at my disposal in what I believe is one of the sweetest chassis ever made.
I would think that you would own or at the very least drive an NSX before making the decision that it doesn't have enough power and you want to give it FI?
HP is not really what the NSX is all about... It's about balance and handling. The people who are into riding sports bikes (not Harleys) on a winding mountain road are the people that the NSX would appeal to. It is the man/machine interface. NSX ownership is about driving enjoyment! It is not about impressing your mates, or boulevard cruising... An NSX owner is not pretentious or a poseur, if he/she was they would have bought a European "thoroughbred" or something that looks like Neo's avatar... (I can say that Neo as I know you would never own such a car!)
Since you don't own an NSX currently, I am assuming that money at the moment is the issue. If this is the case then buying and then even thinking of turbo charging or supercharging is just a fantasy...
If you really want a high HP car... Have you looked at getting a Nissan GTR? It may be more in your budget right now. No offence is intended … It is just that the NSX was not a cheap car when it was new, it is not a cheap car to repair, and it costs a fortune to modify... They were an exclusive and exotic sports car when new as they still are today.
Hope this helps…
