Summer holiday

Thinking of my holidays for next year and with some friends considering some time motoring in France. They all have open top cars already, but we don't:-( In any case, having to drive a RHD car on the right seriously detracts from the pleasure. So we're looking at options to somehow arrange the use of a suitable LHD car for a couple of weeks next year.

Has anyone any suggestions on the best way to achieve this. I don't hold out any hopes to be able to secure a LHD NSX-T, but an S2000 would do, or even a BMW Z4 or small Mercedes - or pretty much anything else actually, although I would draw the line at a 2CV

Has anyone ever done this sort of thing before?

I know people on the Ringers maillist (list for people driving on the Nurburgring) have rented sportscars in Germany.

Had a look at the 'Ringers' site and apart from the fact that my German is seriously lacking, I could find nothing suitable.

More thought has decided me that I'm really looking for an S2000 (LHD) for a couple of weeks in France next year. Unfortunately I've not yet found a car hire company that offers the S2000.

Any suggestions?

More thought has decided me that I'm really looking for an S2000 (LHD) for a couple of weeks in France next year. Unfortunately I've not yet found a car hire company that offers the S2000.

Ah yes, that page was in English, but all the car rental sites that page links to are German (hence the .de on the end of the URLs). In any case, since we'll be going to France I might be better to look there.

It does seem difficult to find out what cars are available from most hire companies as they require you to enter the dates first before any choice of cars is offered and I've not yet found a single S2000:-(

Maybe I should try and arrange an 'extended' test drive with a French Honda dealer.

a rental company in St-Tropez, they have S2000.... I remember seeing the advertisement on the LaMôle Airport and also at the airport of Cannes. Here is the phonenumber of St-Tropez airport they will give you the number of the rental company : +33494547640 They have S2000, boxter, Ferrari, Mercedes 600, M3, M5, all new cars.... I think the S2000 is about 320 euro a day.. when I saw the price I think I could try renting out my S2000 and use the NSX as my everyday car

Well, at that price it's out of the question, but I suppose that's to be expected in St Tropez.
