Suggestions for removing front shock

Hey all,

I just got a new set of Bilstiens for my 91 and the back replacement went very smoothly. I was not able to get the fronts off out of the fender. Is there a more effective way of getting this done. I thought about disconnecting the upper control arm, but I don't have the ball joint tool.

Is there something else I can try??

Where is the Forum Nazi when you need him? Did you search first?

Hint:
Use a very long pry bar wedged in the lower control arm, swing like a monkey
Do not take anything else apart...

Yes I searched, people asked quite a bit about rears, but nothing on the front.

Thanks for the suggestion, already tried that and it wasn't working for me.

Did you look in the NSX FAQ (answers to Frequently Asked Questions)? Click on the word FAQ in the red bar at the top of your screen that looks like this:
