good point ken, i'll get a quote asap.the reason i thought of the homeowners policy is because a friend of mine had a similar (much worse) incident. he had several hundred pounds of storage fall onto his truck causing major damage to his front-end, hood, fenders, etc. his homeowners covered it. but, that's probably irrelevant in my case since i do have the same carrier for both auto and home. like ken said, i'll let them figure it out. hate to see the rate go up though.boston nsx, the line you see between the trunk and quarter must be an illusion due to the camera angle.thanks again,james
