For the THIRD time the plastic peice that goes behind the door handle has fallen off my TL. Two different doors now. What a crappy design.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Nope. My TL has been flawless for the 13 months that I've owned it.

Nope, I've got a reliable 2nd gen

Reliable??...how many trannys have you put in it?

Honda has had major problems with the 5sp auto..they are on back order..and many cars have been bought back because they cannot get a tranny that works properly..:frown: ....they have had problems with the Oddysey van tranny too..

My passenger door will not open but it might be frozen so I will see what happens tommorow when I pour hot water on it.

Maybe the plastic peice that goes behind the door handle will fall off?

Yeah, I've heard some people w/problems, and it did have a recall on the tranny, but mine never had any problems.

Well since the NSX is running right , something else has to be under the

Ive never seen Acura or Honda buy-back a car for a bad tranny in my 7 years working for American Honda motor credit. Transfer of collateral, Yes, but never a straight buy back.

I was on my third tranny on my 02 when I turned it in after the lease was up.
didnt even have 40k miles on it yet I also dont recall there being a recall just a TSB on the tranny where they changed out the old ecu for a new one.

You're right, but we all had bets on how long it would be before you found something else to whine about. :)

You mean this thought provoking thread about plastic door handles that are still under warranty? I apologize to all.........

Would that apply to the 04+ TL? I haven't had any issues with that part of the car yet.

I am not whining. I was curious if anyone else was having the same problem. Since I have one of the first TL's made maybe they fixed it. It is very annoying to have your door handles falling apart all the time.

One friend of mine and 2 customers had their TLs bought back.

very unusual for Honda..
