Strange problem with PG2 clutch

A couple months ago I posted about a problem I was having with my Comptech PG2 clutch developing a a sqeaking noise when pushing the clutch pedal in and out. It would make this noise even when the car's engine was off. See this thread...

http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18468&highlight=clutch

Now as luck would have it, a new problem has appeared just a few months after I originally noticed the noise...

The clutch pedal has started giving an "uneven" feeling when pushing it in and out. Rather than the previous feeling of constant smoothness pushing back at you when pushing in the clutch, it now feels like something is rubbing, causing an uneven sensation on the clutch pedal pressure. Additionally, I can feel a slight amount of engine vibration when engauging the clutch that wasn't present before.

Unlike the sqeaking sound that's still present, this uneven pressure / rubbing sensation in the clutch pedal only occurs when the engine is running. If I turn the engine off and exercise the clutch, the sensations totally disappear.

Then, this is where it gets wierd...
When I first start driving the car in the morning after letting it sit all night, the uneven pressure / rubbing sensation is present in full force. However, the more times I engauge the clutch, the less the problem is evident. After about 50 or so clutch engagements, the clutch nearly feels normal again-- the engine vibration sensation is totally gone, and I can only feel a faint trace of the uneven pressure / rubbing sensation.

The good news is the clutch still seems to operate normally. No obvious slipping or anything like that.

I'm starting to wish I would have just went with the OEM clutch. Or was this just a botched install job? It was installed about two years ago, has only 10,000 miles on it, and has been babied.

Sounds like you some kind of binding going on. Could be the release arm pivoit or more then likely the throw out bearing is not sliding properlly on the counter shaft. When you had the clutch installed they may not have properlly lubed the shaft. I would recomend dropping the trany and getting to the bottom of the problem be for it gets worse.

If it turns out the throw out bearing is binding because of lack of lube on the shaft, is this something I should go after the dealer over? What is the likelyhood that this would happen even if they actually did properly lube the shaft? Or is the only really likely reason due to their error?

It's been just a little under 2 years since they did the work and no-one has been inside the transmission since then. Would it be reasonable to demand they give me a highly discounted price for fixing this if they end up telling me "it just needed to be lubed"?

I see the CompTech instructions say to only use Honda Hi-Temp Eura Grease. What happens if you use the wrong type of grease? Would it somehow burn / wear off more quickly, thus causing a problem similar to what I'm experiencing?

I notice the dealer always likes to charge for every little item on the bill-- i.e. any cleaners they used, chemicals, etc. I have even seen Eura grease listed on bills before. However, on this bill, Eura grease is not listed anywhere! This may not mean anything, but I find it strange how they could charge for that but didn't.
