Hi, looking for a straight line shifter for 5 speed if they make one. If anyone has any info please tell who , what or where I can buy one for my 95. Thanks..
Keep in mind these are made for right hand drive. We're working on a conversion kit, however, this has proven to be somewhat difficult.
Keep in mind that this works in conjunction with the stock transmission. With this part, the gear shifts are much more forceful and the transmission will experience accelerated syncro wear.
It can be made to work with LHD. NA1/2-R did, after all look at his video that he linked here. It'll shift fine, it's just that the E brake won't work unless you rig something up as is apparently.
I got mine from encinoman. Its brand new, never installed. I ran 12v batt on the system and it works really well. I have a good friend who is a machinist and we are currently working to make this fit the LHD with the e-brake. The bracket will be complete different and the bracket for the e brake will be on the right side on the system than on the left. Have you tried to get an estimate from them? I believe theres 3 month wait on preordered kit and that was when I last checked 4 years ago. Expensive piece of equipment but I think its well worth it.
