Stock radio lights

I posted about this before, but now I have more info as to what works and doesn't regarding lighting on my stock stereo.

At night, the radio/stereo face itself is illuminated, but none of the buttons or dials?? Looking for help in what needs to be replaced please. Thanks.

If you pop the balance button out and then pull on it, it will pull out a little more. This will turn off the buttons and dials off but not the face.

Odd feature, I not quite sure what the point is.

I too vote for the dimmer switch, it is either broken or connected improperly (extremely easy bend a pin when reattaching)

The point is to minimize the light needed to read the instruments/dash controls at night so you can preserve/maximize your external night vision.
