Today I replaced my aftermarket filter setup with the stock after i discovered a loss of 5HP. I dynoed the car with only the filter being the different factor (before and after). The car has DC headers and Taitec GT parallel exhaust.

What aftermarket filter were you using?

I heard the Realtime Racing Integras use the same stock box also so it must be good.

Ive heard (and read) several times that changing a "Honda" air filter will yield little to no improvements in power/performance. Still I changed mine to a cold-air intake set up with aftermarket filter. I have no illusions that my NSX is faster as a result (though there is a nice sound of air being pulled into the system). I did notice an NSX at the shop I take my NSX. This NSX was set up really just for racing. It had a supercharger along with many other mods; HOWEVER, it still retained the factory filter. When I asked my trusted Tech about this he simply looked at me and smiled. That smiled basically reaffirmed the aforementioned statement about aftermarket airfilters in comparison to OEM. Though, I would hate to think that those of us who went aftermarket have actually suffered power loss and/or have put our engines in more risk. I know I clean my filter element more than is necessary to be sure I am not putting my engine in any kind of risk. Is this a futile gesture. Should I go back to stock?

How often should I wash the K N filter?
or should I go back to stock?
Doesnt the K N makes exhaust sounds better?

There are two good reasons for not changing the OEM air intake system:

1) The claimed HP gains are just an illusion

2) The filtering of the incoming air will be less efficient and your engine will suffer the consequences

This is just my opinion of course and the reason why I would never replace my OEM with an aftermarket filtering device.

I had the K&N drop in filter and noticed no difference in sound or performance. As for cleaning it I guess it depends on how often you drive it I would check it every 5000 miles.
