Stock bose system

I'm getting ready to upgrade the stereo in my nsx. It still sounds remarkable for a 17 year old system, but it does sound.. thin? i guess is the word. Anyhow I have a few questions regarding the stock system.

Is it an 8 ohm or 4 ohm?

Whats the deal with the door speakers? Do i need those panels they sell on SoS to replace them with aftermarket speakers?

Do a search on stereo and check in the FAQs or Wiki about the stereo.
If I remember, the Bose speakers are like 1 ohm. They are "matched" to the stereo as well as the subwoofer.
