Just installed both Front Chassis Bar and Rear Tower Strut Bar(s) on my '95-T' and I can tell you: "What a difference". Just what the Dr. ordered for a little stiffness...especially up front...er... Anyway, these additions are Rock F Solid. I volunteered my car for the development/fitment of the (stock engine) Rear Tower Strut Brace and saw the time, patience and engineering that went into it's final design and ChromeMoly construction! Beautiful, snug, no-slop, one-piece fitment! I was always happy with the handling of my car, but didn't realize how much of a difference a Front Chassis Reinforcement Bar would make in mild-bump-sweepers. I'm not a radical driver and only "tracked" my car once. I hung up my flame-suit and leather gloves after getting the berries following "granny-lapping" comments from the other guys who I THOUGHT were my new buddies at Firebird Raceway one sunny Arizona day. LOL. Anyway, I'm looking to upgrade the sways next in my deviation from "Stock" class to "Near-Stock-but-still-reversible" class. Just because I didn't opt for Silver or Black, and put red bars on my Brooklands, I just hope all you style-gurus don't ding me with the "...yeah...looks nice and Christ-mas-sy" chuckle-commentary. Okay, fire away!

You "T" owners all need to talk to Ross at STMPO.

Yeah with a green car you definitely have to be careful where you put the red accents or else like you mentioned, would look like a christmas tree.

Ho, ho, ho... :-)

Problem is, if you go with ANY pair of colors, someone would look at you and say... Miami Hurricanes fan, huh (orange)... Eagles fan, huh (white)... Is that a Lotus? (yellow)... etc.

You could always go with pink!

Ross is a great guy, I'm planning on buying the front chassis bar soon. One of the fastest NSX'es at the track this weekend was running the STMPO chassis bar.

Thanks to everyone taking their time here....

I'm glad eveyone at NSXcrave had fun... and I look forward to meeting all of you.

Quix-Draw,

I don't mean to offend, but did you pay for the products you are recommending? You mentioned that you volunteered your car to help out with the development. I'm interested in adding some chassis stiffening to my 96-T and this seems like it might do the trick.

Not to offend at all. We went through 5 fittings for the final production jig specs and Ross was cool and offered me a price break on the first production RSTB and I recently bought a matching front bar. Being part of the process was a huge personal reward for me. All welded, Chrome Moly, no bolted joints... There was a lot of work in the development of these. I noticed the biggest difference on the front...with that new rigidity, I imagine it'll hold an alignment pretty good. Review is on the level... I appreciate you asking, Tim.

I am always skeptical of people's reviews online. 7/10 times when I buy the product I am disappointed. I have learned to disregard people's butt dynos too.

People raved about the Type R chassis bars. So I added them. Was there a dramatic feel in turn in, rigidity, etc.... no. Subtle, maybe.

So after another Prime member raved about Ross's front bar and how it made a HUGE difference I forked out the money. Was there a huge difference between the Type R bars and STMPOs during normal driving? No, I didn't feel a night and day difference. My neighborhood is pretty choppy and the car did feel more solid, but it was tough to actually quantify.

But what I can tell you is that with SMTPO's bar when I turn into my driveway at an angle at a slow speed, the chassis use to flex as one wheel went up on the curb and then the other. Now it doesn't. So there is a definable difference in rigidity with Ross' bar vs the Type R. That being said, I can say that without a doubt that the bar is doing it's job.

Ross asked me if I noticed a difference on the track? I told him, "I don't know, I was a little busy thinking about turn 1 coming up at me at 128 mph." It's hard to tell unless you compare lap times or do an A-B-A comparison on the same day.

I can say that as I mentioned above, after pulling into the driveway and the car not flexing makes me feel that the $ was well spent.

My $0.02

Jim

2-tall... I love your avatar... if we ever design a part that helps taller owners fit into thier nsx better... we will need you and your 96-t for the r&d... I actually broke out laughing in my desk chair on that one...

thanks for all the 'non- bs' reviews and thanks again for the business...

Front Chassis Bar is amazing and a must have! Sensitive feel and good feed back in the steering. Amazingly sharper response with turn ins. Have had installed for about 2 weeks. Loved it the moment I made a turn.

This is what is missing without a doubt from the NSX. I have a 99 targa and have recently complemented the FCB with the Rear Strut Tower brace.

Timely installation but well worth every penny and minute spent!

Def Rock Freaking Solid!

Is the STMPO front chassis bar compatible with the Downforce underbumper cover and battery undercover?
I spent some time to get the underside of the car closed up and would not like to have to find the STMPO would not fit because of this.

Yes, I have all these parts installed on my nsx.

Hey Maarten,

Definitely a part worth picking up! I would say you will really enjoy it!
