Tonight when i went to start my '92, the key wouldn't turn in the switch, almost as if it were the wrong key. After several tries of reinserting and jiggling it , it eventually turned and started. I assume I need to lube the switch? Can silicone or WD-40 be used for something like this or would they do something to the contacts? Any other suggestions?

If it's still a problem, try a graphite lock lube. Don't recall the name, but there' a product that NAPA sells, small blue/white spraycan, some guys swear by it.

Thanks, comrades. Unfortunately, the steering wheel lock was not the issue. I'll get some of tht graphite lube. I'm pretty sure that lube will do the trick--i hope.
