Sticky clutch pedal

I have a 91' with ~45K miles. The factory clutch grabs fine and does not slip, bit once the car warms up, there is a slight hesitation before the clutch pedal returns to it's full up position. It doesn't seem to be creating a problem, but it's not normal either.

Clutch was replaced ~30K miles ago. All fluids are at normal levels. Any guesses?

TIA,

Hi Dave,

I had the same thing in 1996. The dealer told me that it wasn't serious but if I wanted to eliminate it, I could replace the clutch master cylinder ($250). I don't recall bothering to replace it - I don't think I did - and the problem seems to have gone away on its own, as I haven't noticed it in a long time.

You going to NSXPO 2002? I still owe you that drink...

Thanks Ken, I suspect the master cylinder as well, but I think I'll give it a little time to see if it takes care of itself.

I can't make it to NSXPO this year, but as far as that drink you owe me, let it ride. You can buy me a keg next year.

I have seen this on other cars where the fluid has not been changed in a long time. Change the clutch fluid and see if the problem goes a way.
