Steering noise.....

My stock 93' has just started making a dull squeek.....If i could describe it, I would say that It sounds/feels like something in need of lubrication....I'll turn the wheel and the steering will lose its "butter feeling" and a dull squeek will occur. The car handling itself is not affected. If the car is idle and I turn the steering wheel back and forth very quickly between 10'oclock and 2'oclock, the noise is very constant....During normal driving, the sound/feel problem I just described is occassional.....Perhaps another way to describe it is that it feels like power steering that's low on power steering fluid....

Might be the rack and pinion........
