I just noticed that when I press my clutch pedal (engine off), I can hear the linkage squeeking toward the rear of the car. Is there somethink that can be lubricated or is the likely source of the squeek?

the clutch system is a mechanical/hydraulic system and there are 4 or 5 components that can cause the noise. I would start at the clutch pedal mechanism in the car interior as it is the most accessible and see if that is the source of the noise. I would also check the master cylinder and servo cylinder. The release fork is not accessible as it is in the transmission bell housing.
