Squeal from clutch

When i let out my clutch more agresively, i do get a very short little 'squeal' at the moment the discs grabs 100%.
I always have been VERY carefull with my clutch, so i suppose its not worn out yet, though i do know when i replace the clutch, the 'squeal' will be gone.
It almost feels like it's dried out - sorta squeel.

I think it's not an uncommon thing with clutches, since i remember i had it with a previous clutch in my NSX, and also with another Honda.

My question is, what makes this sound? The clutchplates?

I have the same exact symptoms...and have had them for 2-3 years now.

I suspect that it is the throw-out bearing.

I am convinced there is no real preventative maintainence, so when it fails or I am in the "area" I will fix it then.

Hi Michel,
Are you really sure it occurs at the last moment of releasing the pedal? If so, I don't want to make you worry, but this happened also with my last clutch. The problem with my clutch was a broken damper spring in one of my friction plates.

I was possible to drive several thousands of kmtrs before I changed the clutch for an Exedy.

Good luck,
Gerard

BTW See you tomorrow at the last petrol station when you have passed Harderwijk (9:30)

I have the same squeal since 3 or 4 years but without any other symptoms except maybe the fact that mine engages very low and it's harder than every other NSX I tried....Almost every NSXers which tested my car stalled the first time.

FYI, I bought my 91 NSX 6 years ago and from what I know it's still on its 1st clutch after 80K miles.

An OEM clutch was installed this previous november. Purchased the car February, and it squeels 90% of the time when I put the foot on the clutch. Others have suggested it can be a bearing aswell? Is that expensive to fix?
