Gang,
I recently swapped out my 15 year old OEM shocks for Bilsteins. I put them on the lower perch setting and made sure that all bolts were torqued according to the manual.

Ever since, I get a weird squeaking or high pitch grinding noise when I go over bumps. It's not the "clunk" that many others have referred to in the past. Any ideas about where to start looking?

Love the stance of the lower perch, would hate to have to swap it back (not to mention it's a pain in the a$$ to re-do!)

Thanks,
Scott

That's the sound!

Does it happen immediately or after the car has been driven a while?

It's weird, it doesn't always happen. I haven't driven it enough to know exactly what the deal is, I have to admit. Did you ever get rid of it??

Nope. It seems to happen after the shocks have warmed up and been driven a bit.

Check if the stablizer link is not rubbing to the shock.

Which stabilizer link? The one for the front anti-sway bar? I need to get under it when it's under full suspension load. I only have access to a frame lift, not a full wheel lift.

Scratches on my shock next to the stabilizer link...

My garage did fix it, they just transposed the stabilizer to the other side of the car depending on how much distance is there. Try it and tell us if you were lucky.
