There is a Pahrump track day this Sat (11/20). Close to 20 NSXes are expected to be there.

A couple of us are heading out the night before and we are planning to leave OC at around 7 pm. If anyone is interested, you are welcome to join us. We are expecting to arrive Pahrump at around 11:30 pm. Bring a club radio. Cell pnones are useless out on Fwy 127.

PM me if you are interested.

p.s. I'm kind of considering leaving around 2 pm instead, but I don't want to use up too many brownie points with my wife on one event. I'm already spending a night away from home and gone on Sat.

Friday night traffic towards Vegas is often very slow. There's currently construction in Devore (15/215 interchange). Traffic backed-up to the 210 and broke just after the IC. This caused a 30+ minute delay last friday @ 3 PM. So the later you leave the worse it's gonna get. Also, there are a lot of CHP between here and Stateline. Bring those radar detecters. My V-1 saved my butt several times all weekend   .

Plan accordingly gents and drive safe.

I'm leaving LA mid morning to beat the traffic. I'm actually staying in Vegas, but will be glad to caravan as far as Baker.

ss-md, thanks for the heads-up! I got similar feedback from a friend that lives out there. So I have decided to take half day off and leave at 2 to beat the late afternoon traffic. I'm aiming to be out of the riverside area before 3.

I intend to keep my speed down. We'll have plenty of time to get there and all day Saturday to speed legally. fwy 127 should be wide open.

NSX-Ster, it'd be fun to caravan out together, but I have to at least put in half a day of work before I head out. Let me know if you have a change of plan. Otherwise, have a safe drive!

See you Sat.

I heard someone from San Clemente tech'ed his car last Thur. May be he'd be interested in joining us. Anyone know who that person is?

OC caravan leaving at 2:00!

Have a good time to all of you. Fortunately, I have a better event to attend, my anniversary.

BTW there is a Speedventures event on Dec 17, which is the day before JGTC at California Speedway. The Speedventures organizer told me that we would have access to the JGTC garage area during the day and the practice is right after the last session of the event. I'm 99% there but there is always that 1%.

Watch out for radar at the intersection between 178 and 127.

Enjoy your weekend!!

Taj, thanks for the warning! I'm sure that you have been through that route enough time to see a pattern. We'll keep our eyes peel and speed down.

Happy anniversary to you two love birds! Knowing Rosa, you could have celebrated your anniversary on the track. Get a ride from someone with a 4 door car and make out in the back seats while on the track. Hmmm... the helmets may get in the way though.

I truly felt what this community is about, fellow car enthusiasts, and NSX fellowship yesterday. I had a little spinning incident, and everyone was so helpful and ready to leand a hand.

Thank you all!
Marc. W for helping me put my lip back on ;)
Scott offered wheel liner clip (actually carry spares :) )
Chris offering emotional support for the nicks and bruises on my ego,
Mark J. thanks for the air compressor tank,
Marc W. and Mark S for helping me with the line and instruction,
and all the great folks that helped me with the clean up job.

Great to meet/see some of you also, Greg, Paul, Heidi, Bruce, J.D. Todd, and many others. Overall, I had a great day, valuable learning, and came home with the baby in 1 piece :) Got some fresh mountain air mixed with some burned clutches and exhaust fume, life can't get better than that!

Still in 1 piece :)

Washed my car in 30 mph wind. It was not fun, but has to be done. She is now resting comfortably under its cover.

The nose mask and blue tape avoid any paint damage. That made me sleep better at night.

Moral support was all I could provide you. I wish I have the track wisdom to share with you.

I basically met my objectives set for this event.

1> No spins, no chips
2> Huge grin on my face at the end of the event

Seeing the size of those rock people carried back, I can't help but to tell myself to keep my car on the track and under control at all time. She has been great and very forgiving to all the things that I asked her to do.

Good to hear that you guys had a good time. I was in TS for 6 freakin hours on Sat. and Sun. :frown: :frown:. My driving record is now completely clean  .
