I'd like some feedback please. I'm having a difficult time arranging a luncheon for the group due to the number of people (80+), as well as end location (forks of the credit) which isn't near any restaurants.

I've tried calling country clubs and inns in the area, and so far have not had much luck except for one. I've tried places like the caledon golf club, millcroft inn, etc. The one place that CAN accomodate us is a private golf club (Devils Pulpit) which is 2 mins from the end of our drive. (http://www.devilspulpit.com/thehomepage.html) Unfortunately the following issues exist:

1) No cash, will only accept a single VISA. I don't think this is a big deal, I can collect from everyone and put it on a single tab.

2) Parking limited. Can hold all of our cars, but cannot guarantee that we'll all be beside each other. Everything else considered, this is a tiny point.

3) Cost. $25.00 pp + 30% service charge (includes GST+PST) = $32.50, drinks on top of that. May be a bit on the pricey side for some people.

4) Fixed menu's, cannot do ala carte for such a large group. I am looking into a buffet option though.

5) Biggest issue: Dress code. No denim, only collared shirts. No tank tops, no short shorts. They have a strict club policy around this. Out of all the things, this one is probably going to be the hardest to enforce. I think most of us will be dressed casually for the drive.

The pros are:

- beautiful environment + scenery
- great food
- 2 mins from end of our drive

If we don't go with the above or if we cannot find a place in the area (which is looking more and more unlikely), we will be forced to travel south into Brampton about 15 minutes. There we have a few more options, including Kelsey's @ brampton corners mall (parking situation isn't too hot since it's part of a mall), or Mandarin's @ 410 + steeles.

Please cast your vote. If we have a large majority eg. 75% who are ok with Devil's Pulpits requirements, we'll go with that. Otherwise, I'll try and make arrangements with one of the restaurants further away.

I need to respond to Devil's Pulpit by tomorrow, so please cast your vote now! :)

If anyone has any suggestions for places around the caledon area that can accomodate a group of our size, please let me know!

I really don't think Devil's Pulpit is going to work out as there isn't enough time to get feedback from everyone and there are a number of reasons why people might not want to go there.

I'm going to try calling a couple more options in that area, but if nothing pans out I've made tentative reservations at one of these restaurants about 15-20 mins from the end of our drive. It has a large, dedicated parking lot for the restaurant and no issues with dress code, etc :) If I can't find an alternate by this weekend, I'll be going there on saturday to make a deposit. The only downside there is that we need to be out of there by about 3:00pm, which will give us less than 1.5 hours for lunch.

Not sure if you can swing it with this kind of timing, but The Globe Restaurant in Rosemont is a 4 star restaurant. I eat there all the time, very reasonable considering the fare and there is plenty of parking all over.
