My wife and I were coming home from Zooport on PCH. We spotted a silver R8 going North on PCH. The car was silver (the carbon fibre side piece was also painted silver).

It looks a lot better "in the flesh" than it does in pictures.

Anyone else spot that bad boy?

Supposedly there is one running around here in Las Vegas but I have yet to see one. Very cool car so I am keeping my eyes open for one.

I have seen the one that's running around in Vegas. Saw it one night around 9pm around the west side of town. Its absolutely beautiful... its definitely better in person than it is in pictures.

I saw 5 or 6 in one line getting off 215 last Thur. And one at Lake Las Vegas the first week of Feb. . Car and Driver or Road and Track have a review on the car from Las Vegas.

I was lucky enough to ride, and drive, in one (Black/Black) during my stepsons' wedding last year. A friend of my stepson loaned him the car for his wedding. The car is very nimble for a large car, and it has power to spare. The car was for sale, but sold quickly.

I'm talking about the big Audi sedan "Aluminum Space Frame". I think I have my cars mixed up LOL!

I guess opinions are like ...

But I don't get it.

I saw, sat, and spent probably 20 minutes around this thing in Germany. I took dozens of pictures from many angles and studied them again later. I thought it was horrible looking (and I am a big fan of Audi). It looked like someone dug up a poor, dead, testarossa and tried to resurrect it IMO.

The Germans I was with weren't that impressed either. They were joking that the car was Bangled (phrase used after designer Chris Bangle botched up the 7, 5, and Z BMW cars).

For Gallardo money and Audi engineering - get the Gallardo. Much better looking IMHO inside and out.

I think you have your cars mixed up. The mid engined R8 isn't yet available for sale.

I finally saw this bad boy tonight and it was in the rain. It came up from behind me and when I saw the front lights it actually reminded me of the HSC. When it went by it was definitely a R8. It had a foreign license plate and was silver. All I can say is it looks a lot better in person and that was coming from looking really good.
