I remember the thread in the Canadian forum a while back about the abandoned silver nsx in some parking lot in Alberta and here's my version.

The family stayed at the Stage West hotel in Mississauga over the last 2 nights while we visited family in the GTA for the Xmas break. On the second night I decided to park in the indoors lot and while looking for a spot what do I see huddled in a lonesome corner but this Brooklands Green NA2.

It had 2 flat tires, a thick coating of dust, water drops were all over the hood and roof from the melting saltwater seeping through a crack in the ceiling overhead which was under the top uncovered level of the parking lot. Someone had written "I AM A NICE CAR, CLEAN ME OR GO AWAY!". I managed to scrape away some of the encrusted dust on the passenger window to see it was an NA2 (6 spd), had 3 defi gauges on the centre dash, an aftermarket steering hub with the steering wheel removed, and a Bride Gias Low Max seat in the drivers side. There is a red authentic Honda badge on the front, appears to be lowered but otherwise stock.

I am guessing it must belong to someone connected to the hotel, otherwise why would it b parked there for so long. I also assume the owner has not seen it in a while or s/he would have moved it to a less exposed location or would have at least thrown a cover on it.

I'm hoping someone might recognize the car and help the owner retrieve it. Heck, I might even consider buying it so it ca have a better home!

Might be worth reporting it to the authorities. Could be a car that was stolen and then left there. If they run the plate and it comes back clean, no harm done. I can't see someone just abandoning an NSX unless they blew the engine or something else major.

^^^^^^^
+1

I agree. No harm done. Police refer this to a ' good intention call ' just checking on a nice car's welfare. A nice car in that shape is just asking for vandalism/burglary/theft. You could prevent a much worse crime if the powers that be , just check on things to make sure they are OK.

Drop a dime.

Will someone at least go over there are wash that thing down... looks like it could use some love

Can you or someone who know the owner let him know the car is in a bad positon?

I think I can call the owner of the hotel and let the know but not much I can do up here in Ottawa.

The car is so dust-covered I seriously could not tell it was black! I think the dust combined with the orange lighting made the car appear green.

I think he meant the owner is black. (jk)

Man I do love that breakfast buffet each morning at the Stage West Hotel!
Gain any weight, John?

Actually we didn't even go to the buffet. I just stopped by a drug store every night and stocked up on cereal, milk and yoghurt (we have little kids).

Stage West was one of the crappiest hotels we've ever stayed at. The room heater was either sauna hot or ice cold and we only had lukewarm water all weekend. To top it off, the water slide was closed all weekend because the lifeguard was off on holidays:(

yea thats the Tires23 guy...

I guess he has an arrangement to store it there for the winter ?

And put some air in the tires while they are at it. Make me sick to see an NSX wasting away like that.

The tires23 website has a black NSX on it but it is a NA1 with ivory interior . I will venture a guess that the car in the underground is a 95-96 due to the solaris wheels...

Brooklands Green NA2.

I know you already said it is actually black but you are aware that no Brooklands NA2 were produced - right Mr. secratary?

LOL, I bow to thee Angus of the turbo fame ;)

Well, iether Canada is a small place, or there are too many "abandoned" nsx:redface:

Wow, I work a few blocks away from thers, I'll take a bucket to work one day and clean the poor car.

I'm sure the car is being stored there for the winter.

Bram

I think that' in your job description as NSXCC prez! Throw a cover on it while you're there ;)

Makes me sad to see her like that,, some one post some updated pics,, Of the car cleaned,, and tires inflated,, and the owner In a noose!! LOL

Oh man that is just painful to look at, those water drops are gonna leave some deep water etching that is probably gonna go right through the clearcoat.

Any updates on this?

Bram, head over there and report back, stat!
