South Coast Acura proudly welcomes Mr. Tatsuru Ichisima, Founder/CEO of SPOON SPORTS Japan Ltd. to officially launch South Coast Performance division in conjunction with Opak Motorsports and Opak Racing. OPAK Racing/Motorsports, is SPOON’S exclusive importer and only authorized distributor in the U.S.
Mr. Ichishima, an icon in the import-tuning world, is a highly respected figure in the JDM (Japan Domestic Manufacturer) industry for decades. Spoon’s Racing Team was 2004 All-Japan Touring Class Champion. Performance products that Spoon Sports produce for Honda and Acura cars go through extensive R&D rigorous testing at the track before releasing them to the market.
This event will showcase the first production series of SPOON’S Certified Ultimate Performance Vehicles, (CUPV), the Acura RSX and Honda S2000. These specially Spoon-equipped street vehicles have similar race-proven performance parts installed by TYPE ONE. TYPE ONE is SPOON’S Performance and Tuning Division in Japan.
