Attending This Event Will Change The Way You Perceive JDM

OCTOBER 1, 2005 at 3:00 – 10:00 P.M. South Coast Acura proudly welcomes Mr. Tatsuru Ichisima, Founder/CEO of SPOON SPORTS Japan Ltd. to officially launch South Coast Performance division in conjunction with Opak Motorsports and Opak Racing. OPAK Racing/Motorsports, is SPOON’S exclusive importer and only authorized distributor in the U.S.

Mr. Ichishima, an icon in the import-tuning world, is a highly respected figure in the JDM (Japan Domestic Manufacturer) industry for decades. Spoon’s Racing Team was 2004 All-Japan Touring Class Champion. Performance products that Spoon Sports produce for Honda and Acura cars go through extensive R&D rigorous testing at the track before releasing them to the market.

This event will showcase the first production series of SPOON’S Certified Ultimate Performance Vehicles, (CUPV), the Acura RSX and Honda S2000. These specially Spoon-equipped street vehicles have similar race-proven performance parts installed by TYPE ONE. TYPE ONE is SPOON’S Performance and Tuning Division in Japan.

DON’T MISS THE OPPORTUNITY to own one of the first 2005 RSX SPOON (CUPV) that will be silently auctioned at this event. Mr. Ichishima, will personally autograph this car, making it unique and one of the few authenticated SPOON cars in this “Fast and Furiously” exploding JDM market.

For a limited time, South Coast Performance will feature one of SPOON - Opak Racing DC5 Type R, driven by Dave Brown. Opak Racing DC5 is the 2005 USTCC (United States Touring Car Championship) including an impressive first place win at the San Jose Grand Prix. You will also see other exciting Spoon-equipped vehicles such as the Acura TL, RL and of course Japan’s ultimate sports car the “NSX” Type R.

what kind of NSX products will they have???

I'd like to know as well. Here is a link to their site, but it doesn't list any products. http://www.opakracing.com/

I'd LOVE to know what they have for the TL and RL. Any pixtures or info on the products?

Art was nice enough to have allowed me to take the RSX for a spin..........I like it!!! With that being said, lets wait 10/1 and have Spoon introduce the product line instead of any of us.

I was only there for the later part of the event. Pretty cool gathering I must say. A lot of new faces in the Nsx Community. Live alternative band and I saw Erwin and Toru's Nsx. which I believe has been bought out by Opak Racing. So who won the silent auction/raffle for the RSX? Is the lucky winner registered with NsxPrime?

I was there till about 8 o clock, only 2 or so nsx's showed up while i was there, one of them i recognized, which was Son's

New NSX products

What NSX products are to be expected for release in the new future

Only Spoon parts I have found relevant to us are their lightweight, tuner lug-nuts...

Any info on the products from anyone who was there? It isn't up on Opak's site. I wish I could have gone.

Not really any products that I have seen that I would want to purchase........but to each their own......=)
