Spiffed-up engine compartment

Just thought I'd post a couple of pics of my '92 engine compartment. I cut out the cover, painted the coolant bottle, repainted the covers with hi-temp paint, and fabricated the TB cover and alt covers. Also, since the large white the factory sticker on the firewall tends to draw the eye's attention, I covered it with a painted sheet of aluminum and attached it with velcro so it could easily be removed, to restore to stock. Enjoy.

Nice, but my 2 cents and better yet visual advice.
Loose the alt cover which doesn't match and just polish up the alt, us that brillo pad or what ever its called for polishing up sst.
Change that throttle cover plate out to something more visually appeasing.
Otherwise, nice work, but I can't see that white sticker that i like so much on the firewall!!! lol

I doubt the glue used on the velcro will stand up to the heat of the engine compartment.

In my truck I use some to mount a display for a back up camera.
The interior of the truck is to hot in the summer for the velcro.
Surely the enigne compartment is worse.

I have gone through 3 coolant bottle. Give it a year before the bottle crack under the sun. Get the NSX-R coolant bottle plastic cover.

What did you paint the bottle with.
I will do the same thing with newer bottle I just purchased on Prime.
brand - code - .....
Thanks so much sir.

I used stick-on velcro strips for the painted aluminum sheet. I did this 2 seasons ago and it's held up well. I q'd whether it would hold also and as such , have checked it every time I open the hatch. Only one strip out of 4 (I used a strip of velcro on all 4 edges of the plate) got kind of gooey and needed to be repositioned, but the plate has remained to be solidly stuck in place.

Re: paint, I used Dupli Color hi-heat red and aluminum colors. It has held up incredibly well. I used a satin-finish , hi-heat black paint on a new coolant tank ( my original tank had already cracked w/o being painted).

I ultimately did remove the alt cover--for heat concerns.
