Recently my speedo started to act up, sometimes it works and sometimes it just goes dead......Has anyone had a similar problem or have a fix for my problem?

Also, my turn signal doesnt pop back out after you complete the turn, will changing the entire arm fix my problem or can I fix my existing piece? any suggestions

Is the speed pick up a sensor that goes bad or just a cable going into tranmission?

Couldnt find the section in FAQ about my turn signal? can you giveme the link?

Do a search on "Turn Signals" in the forums, not the FAQ:). They most likely need to be cleaned. I know there is at least one person who started a thread about this. I think it was NetViper, or at least I know he fixed his.

Speed sensor is located on the top of the differential housing on the transmission. On Page 13-10 in the online service manual there is an exploded view of the transmission. #7 is the speed sensor.

Manual is located here: http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/Reference/1991_svcman/1991_svcman.htm

BTW, Do you have an engine check light?

I asked about your check light because your speedo problem can come from a few different issues. I agree completely the speed sensor is a common failure, but typically, if I recall, you will get a check light. The best thing would be to clean the contacts, if that does not cure it, then swap it with a good one.

They are about $180 list for a new one, so I would find a friend and swap it out if possible.

Do you know what section or page # in the manual I would find the location of the sensor? I am getting me check engine and TCS light come on simultaneously.

If you are getting a check light, the first thing to do is pull the codes. Don't troubleshoot things that the ECU does for you:). Page 11-18 with show you how to get them. Speed Sensor is #17 for the OBDI cars.

I had a similar problem and the connection to the speed sensor on the bell housing was just loose. you can just reach in the back (trunk) side of the engine and tighten it. it also caused problems with the tcs and cruise.
